Dharmachakra Buddhist Center is a Buddhist meditation center in northern New Jersey. We offer instruction in meditation and Buddhist spiritual practice through meditation classes, meditation retreats and special meditation events. Meditation is for everyone, from those who seek relaxation to those who wish to follow the Buddhist spiritual path. We promote the teachings and ideals of Kadampa Buddhism in northern New Jersey.
A QUANTUM OF WISDOM

Reality is not “out there” separate from the mind. Appearances are the nature of the mind and are inseparable from mind. In this sense, the wisdom teachings of Buddhism find parallel in modern physics, in which quantum particles seem inextricably linked to the experiments that study them. However, in the wisdom tradition, we learn that investigating the nature of reality gives us the freedom to choose happiness and peaceful states of mind over delusions and suffering. Learn more

POWER OF A PEACEFUL MIND

In situations of conflict, we tend to become angry easily. We even think anger will help us ‘win’ our battles, and we rely on it as if it were our trusted friend. The mind of anger, however, leaves a trail of broken relationships, lost opportunities, and painful feelings in its wake. HAPPINESS BOOT CAMP
Stop wishing for happiness to come someday and start training now in peace joy and love. Take responsibility for the things that happen to you and use Buddhist meditation to respond positively. This series will introduce the system of meditation called lamrim, a time-tested method of cultivating inner peace.Offered in July and August in Millburn Mall, Ridgewood and Shrewsbury.

This class is designed for beginners. Each class begins with a simple meditation. During the teaching that follows, the instructor explains what meditation is. The last meditation demonstrates how contemplation works. You will be given a meditation that will help you get started at home. Meditations are guided by the instructor and are suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Meditation can provide a break in our busy lives. Its purpose is to make our mind calm and peaceful.
