Dharmachakra Buddhist Center is a Buddhist meditation center in northern New Jersey. We offer instruction in meditation and Buddhist spiritual practice through meditation classes, meditation retreats and special meditation events. Meditation is for everyone, from those who seek relaxation to those who wish to follow the Buddhist spiritual path. We promote the teachings and ideals of Kadampa Buddhism in northern New Jersey.

Introduction to Buddhism
Many people are discovering that Buddhism and meditation offer clear answers to questions and real solutions to everyday problems. But is Buddhism a religion? This series will introduce the foundations of Buddhist teaching on past and future lives, karma and the stages of the path to enlightenment. We will learn how to apply these teachings as practical instructions to our everyday life and achieve greater happiness and freedom

This class is designed for beginners. Each class begins with a simple meditation. During the teaching that follows, the instructor explains what meditation is. The last meditation demonstrates how contemplation works. You will be given a meditation that will help you get started at home. Meditations are guided by the instructor and are suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Meditation can provide a break in our busy lives. Its purpose is to make our mind calm and peaceful.
