Dharmachakra Center is a nonprofit organization that operates though the kindness of volunteers.
Volunteering is a great way to share your talents or interests, have fun, and help out at your meditation center. It doesn’t matter how small the task seems, each contribution of your time is meaningful and will contribute to the spreading of dharma in Northern New Jersey.
Anyone can volunteer. You don’t need a special skill or experience. We have many volunteer positions that can be undertaken by anyone without training, or minimal training. If you do have a special skill, please let us know. There is enough work for everybody.
You are welcome to help out at any time, either when you have spare time or on a regular basis. Every hour of volunteering counts. Come and speak with us about your schedule and availability.
Volunteer opportunities include:
– flyers distribution;
– office help (data entry);
– assisting with class registration;
– graphic designing;
– photography and video projects;
– maintenance work at the center.
“Thank you for your interest in helping to spread Buddha’s teachings throughout the New York area. If we think clearly we shall realize that all our present and future happiness depends upon our cherishing others.”
