Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible

At Dharmachakra Kadampa Buddhist Center we offer instruction in meditation and Buddhist spiritual practice.

Everyone is welcome - whether you’re brand new to meditation and seeking relaxation techniques, or if you’ve been practicing meditation for a long time and are now seeking a spiritual path.

Happiness and suffering are states of mind, and so their main causes are not to be found outside the mind. If we want to be truly happy and free from suffering, we must learn how to control our mind.
— Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Founder of The New Kadampa Tradition

The dream~like
illusory nature of things

Mondays in May 7:00-8:30pm
St Stephen's Church, 119 Main Street, Millburn NJ

This series will emphasize the deeply relaxing and profoundly illuminating meditation on the nature of the mind. Each class will give us deep insight into our pure nature and great potential. Gen Chogyop will highlight a different way in which we can use the meditation on the nature of the mind to deepen our understanding of how our minds create our experiences, and consequently how we can creatively and meaningfully relate to the dreamlike illusory nature of things.

Living Mindfully

Tuesdays in May & June 7:00-8:30pm
St Stephen's Church, 119 Main Street, Millburn

We all want to be happy all the time, yet we usually disturb our happiness by developing anger, worry, and other negative states of mind. This is because we don’t know where authentic happiness comes from. In this series, we will learn the 21 meditations Buddha taught as a path to train our minds. Each class presents a new meditation that can transform how we think about our lives and help us to solve our problems. We all want to be happy; now we can put ancient wisdom into practice and live more mindfully. Everyone welcome!
